Pumpkin and Spice

As a pastry-chef-in-training, I love to eat, entertain and create. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, and I love sharing new things I find, try and bake. This blog chronicles the adventures I have with food- at home,at school, on vacation and in my career. I’m especially excited to share my adventures this coming fall, as I will be starting a six-month externship as a baker at a luxury ski resort in Utah.

Blog Award and a Question

Posted by pumpkin in Share the Lovepastry school

So, while I was on vacation, I received an award from Blonde Duck over at A Duck in Her Pond. She's really fabulous and if you haven't been to her blog before, go- she's funny, adventurous, a wonderful writer, and have I mentioned she's funny? In addition to quirky food posts, she also posts original short stories that are real page turners... or would be if computers had pages you could turn. I was so flattered that she'd think of little ol' me to give an award!

blog award!

In turn, I get to pass it along to five fabulous bloggers!

The Rules:
1. Post the award on your blog
2. Link to me for giving it to you
3. Link the originating post here
4. Pass it on to five deserving people
5. Post these rules for your recipients

I'm giving it to...

Show these bloggers a little love, and stop by their blogs to say hi!

Oh, but first, while I've got you here... As you may or may not remember, the final part of my pastry school degree is an externship. Well, mine's a bajillion miles (okay... not a bajillion. Like, 2,000) away in Utah. It also starts on Monday, which means I'm leaving Florida for Utah this Saturday. Yeah, I'm freaking out about it. My whole world is going to be turned upside down, I'll be away from my husband, my friends, my fabulous apartment... I'm excited, but to say I'm not also nervous would be a lie. Luckily, my PFF (Pastry Friend Forever) Sissy is doing her externship at the same place, and we'll be rooming together, so I'll have at least one familiar face.

Anyway, what this means to you, dear bloggy friends, is that my blog is going to undergo some changes, at least for the six months I'm in Utah. I'll be living in dorm-style apartments, so my access to a real kitchen will be very limited. This means I won't be cooking nearly as much, and I won't be able to post recipes like I do now. My question to you all is, what would you like to see? Of course, I'll tell you about my externship, but what else would you like? A daily food blog of what I'm eating? Less frequent posts about restaurants? Non-food posts? What do you want? I wanna know!

I hope you have a safe trip to Utah and have a wonderful time experiencing what Utah and it's food has to offer! Oh, and of course learn lots and share it with us, your blog fans!

I don't have anything specific to request. I've not been to Utah so I imagine what ever you post will be interesting.

Take care and thanks again for the award!

Thanks for all the wonderful compliments! You deserved it!

I'd like to see posts about how you're getting along as well and what you're learning as well as food. That's terrible you'll be away from everyone. You're so brave! Good for you for following your dreams!

That's known that cash makes people disembarrass. But what to do if one does not have cash? The one way is to get the home loans or just short term loan.
