My hair has, at various points, been about every color known to Lady Clairol- red, auburn, strawberry blonde, light brown, dark brown, purple, black, and even platinum blonde. You'd think I'd be able to answer with some authority the age old question, "Do blondes have more fun?" Well, I don't know about that... but I do know that you'll have fun (blonde or not) baking and eating these blondies!

A Weekend of Banquets

Dreamy Dark Chocolate Coconut Macaroons

For some reason, lately I've been craving coconut macaroons. I love them so much, but I really feel like they're an underrated cookie. Maybe it's the coconut. People seem to be either on the "love it" or "hate it" side of the coconut line- there is rarely middle ground.

I'm going to get a bit mushy for a second. My "little" brother (he's 24 years old- not so little anymore) is in the Army and is stationed in Iraq. He's a good guy, and I'm super-proud of him. We're only two years apart, and have always been close and I feel like the older we've gotten, the better friends we've become. (He was my "maid of honor" at my wedding- way before that turd of a Patrick Dempsey movie, I might add.)
